Lets begin. Together.

I could use this Blog as a simple way of posting endless amounts of recipes for the perfect juice but I want it to be more than just that and I am sure that you do to.

I want all of us to learn from each other and for all of us Yes YOU included to get the maximum out of this. I could give you the loose 5 lbs in a week jargon but anyone can do that! I want to challenge you,

both physically and mentally.

"I promise all of you. You can get everything you want out of life" and through this Blog I will show you how.
So let's begin shall we.

I want you to identify what you want and why by answering these simple questions. It's not a test and you do not have to give me your answers (although comments are always nice).

1.) Why do you want to be healthy?

2.) What are your expectations?

3.) What do you want to feel like?

4.) which are your main goals (looks, health, body size, skin, hair-yes we will do any of these)

5.) What do you want to be remembered for?

This is where YOUR individual transformation will begin. With you.

"Why do you want it"

My mornings now.

I'm a convert. I admit it. I am.  I am green at 6 am in the morning.

My mornings now always consist of a green juice. They have done for over 9 years. In that time as I said in an earlier post I have also given up smoking cigarettes and I am now addicted and I mean addicted to my juices. Oh and in the fist 5 days I lost 10 pounds. (The first real 5 days) see a future blog for this little nugget of goodness.

My Green mornings are not set in stone. They are however going to give you everything you need! Trust me if they didn't I would be stopping off at the deli on my way into the office.

Your first juice really should be this one. It can be prepared the night before. So if like me you are not a morning person you can just get it from your fridge and enjoy!

  •  1/2 cucumber
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 2 apples (green ones make better juices)
  • 6 leaves of kale or a bunch of spinach (trust me you will not taste it)
  • 1/2 lemon with the white part of the pith left on (all the goodness is in there)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (the antibiotic)
Directions
  1. Wash all your ingredients
  2. Peel the lemon, optional (I have a juicer that doesn't need it)
  3. place a sandwich of ingredients in your juicer-apple, cucumber chunks, celery chunks, lemon chunks, kale and then the other apple.
  4. Juice
  5. Pour over ice
  6. Enjoy!

I'm gonna let you in on a secret.

Way back when I would start every day the same. It would begin a little something like this............

I would awake around 10.00 am on a day off from work (work would be 6 am for a work day but I will get to that later) and instantly feel as though I had not slept at all in the night! I would need to cough, well not just cough I would need to COUGH. Through the mist of my slumber and my endless coughing I would then reach for my cigarettes and the kettle to make a big mug of black coffee. There would be no conversation with anyone for at least another 40 minutes. I may as well have had printed lines on a coffee mug letting people know when I was sociable depending on how much I had drank at any given time.

Once my coffee had been drank there would be another cigarette followed by endless excuses as to why I felt sooooo bad; the time of year, working to hard, somebody giving me a dodgy pizza or kebab or curry or any other fat laden fast food garbage I had eaten the night before. Lets face it I was a heart attack just waiting to happen! My work mornings were exactly the same but earlier and more rushed. My second cigarette was running for the bus at 6.30 am. THEN WHEEZING.

I used to watch the paid commercials when flicking through the channels nearly comatose on the sofa seeing these 20 something women that glowed an annoying happiness but I was also in awe of them too secretly. "Why couldn't I be like that" I knew why but I wanted to make more excuses. I was lazy and just not bothered about my health or my diet. Why should I be? I had (thankfully still have) my partner who loves me so it wasn`t  like I was on my own but then I started to see the looks. The looks from colleagues at work and the comments "what you got in your bag today" "another pack of doughnuts?" That was it!!. As well as having a poor diet and bad habits I also had OCD and I was not going to have people looking at me and even worse talking about me. It was time to change!!!!!
